WAR at the BIO CEO Conference – Day 2

Once again, it seemed like everyone wanted to get pictures of the group giving the Waldorf Astoria a major migraine for hosting the scumbags of BIO CEO at one of New York’s most exclusive hotels. The same morons that talked into their gloves and took a massive amount of video footage and digital shots last night were back and at it again. It makes us wonder just how many pictures of chanting activists are needed to satisfy one’s assignment. Photographers made themselves the object of the protest when activists chanted…..”All your money, all your lies, we will NEVER compromise…..All your cameras and corporate spies, we will NEVER compromise”

Once again, literature was distributed to conference attendees as well as to Park Avenue passersby. Graphic signs and banners were displayed by the loud activists, making it hard to ignore us. As the lobby traffic slowed down, we decided to march around the block to take our message to the numerous entrances and driveways of the Waldorf. Security scurried around trying in vain to figure out where we were going. The impromptu parade allowed activists to pass by the windows of the chic Waldorf restaurants, holding up pictures of mutilated beagle puppies, cats, primates and rabbits. We could tell which diners were vivisectors, since they are unaffected and not at all disturbed by the gory pictures. It was gratifying to see some of their dinner partners blanch at the bloody graphic photos.

After circling the block, a couple of times we returned to our place at the front door where we resumed the protest much to the consternation of the doormen and security. All in all, we felt that conference goers received our message loud and clear.

This should serve as a warning to the Waldorf Astoria. If you allow puppy killers and animal abusers to rent your space, you draw the attention and ire of the animal activist community. This is your last warning. Do not bring Bio Tech scum into our city again. Next time the protests will be at the homes of key Waldorf executives.
