A spring-like Saturday in New York’s trendy SoHo neighborhood brought many local residents and tourists out for shopping and entertainment. SoHo’s boutiques, street vendors and quaint galleries make this a very popular location. The table was covered with literature, much of it pertaining to the atrocities and abuse happening at the notorious animal testing laboratories of Huntingdon Life Sciences (HLS). A new and much improved DVD player broadcast continuous video of the undercover investigations that have exposed horrific cruelty and animal killing at HLS while activists explained that recent exposes have proven that the abuse continues to this day. Many stopped to view the graphic posters surrounding the table and to watch, with tear filled eyes, as Huntingdon Life Sciences employees punched beagle puppies in the face and cut open monkeys while they were still fully conscious. People were horrified at what they saw and heard at the WAR table. Many made donations and quite a few added more to their initial donation after hearing about the abuse and specious so-called “science" that goes on at HLS. It is always great to talk to compassionate New Yorkers, many of whom were strolling the Avenue with their canine companions. Hundreds of flyers were distributed and many pages of signatures were gathered for the petition to the USDA, in hopes of once and for all, ending the killing at Huntingdon Life Sciences. ![]() ![]() | |
