Saturday, March 2, 2008 March Madness Continues – Targeting HLS & Dennis Basso Demo #1: Staples - 2248 Broadway Ever since Staples was caught delivering supplies in unmarked vans to the animal abusers of Huntingdon Life Sciences there has been an outpouring of support, loads of Staples boycotts and of course - loud and angry protests across the globe. Despite the cold, activists educated the public about Staples' bloody business with HLS and held a loud and spirited protest, attracting attention from blocks away. Activists know they've got your attention, Staples - you've got your goons taking pictures of demonstrations but you still haven't stopped supplying Huntingdon Life Sciences. What gives? Drop HLS! Demo #2: Dennis Basso - Fur Ghoul A short walk from Staples, activists headed to Dennis Basso's building on CPW. As the "furrier to the stars" Basso is directly responsible for the systematic torture, murder and skinning of hundreds of thousands of innocent animals. Basso's cares not about suffering - his only concern is the amount of cash he can grab up in his chubby little hands. Protestors' loud voices echoed "Fur Trade - Death Trade!" down the block as they shamed Basso for his disgusting business. Basso's normally idiotic doorman kept to himself and didn't taunt the protestors this time. I guess after years of demonstrations he finally got the word that engaging and mocking demonstrators and lying to cops are things that will just fuel the fire of animal rights activists and make for a louder, longer and more powerful demonstration. Demo #3: Arun Nadiga - Novartis Investor Relations Activists headed down CPW in the blustery cold weather to shame a new addition to the Novartis team of animal abusers: Dr. Arun Nadiga. This is a great location as the acoustics allow for an extremely loud demonstration and activists took full advantage. "500 animals died today - Arun Nadiga is to blame" chanted the protestors, so loud that people from several blocks away were drawn over to ask why activists were protesting this normally quiet building. Arun Nadiga, activists swore to be back again and again with great frequency until Novartis cuts their ties with the puppy killing monsters at Huntingdon Life Sciences. Demo #4: Lamberto Andreotti - Bristol-Myers Squibb Activists headed down the street a few blocks (isn't it amazing how many animal abusers and puppy killers live in the same area?) to the home of their Bristol-Myers Squibb BFF Lamberto Andreotti. Voices raised in outrage over Andreotti and BMS' continued contracts with Huntingdon Life Sciences for extremely cruel and disgusting animal tests. BMS' money funds HLS and the activists told Andreotti and all his neighbors what the score was. Andreotti is a regular stop for activists who are incensed with those who fund animal cruelty and the more they come back to his building the louder they get. A message from the activists to Lamberto Andreotti and Bristol-Myers Squibb: DROP HLS! Video Clips: Video Clip: Arun Nadiga - Novartis #1 Video Clip: Arun Nadiga - Novartis #2 |
