Sunday, April 9th,

WAR continued its campaign to spotlight the horrors and cruelty going on in the laboratories of Huntingdon Life Sciences.

Multiple activists at multiple exhibit stalls distributed literature and solicited signatures for their petition to call for a federal USDA investigation and to close Huntingdon Life Sciences for needlessly killing 500 animals every day.

At day's end, the group of activists, energized from the positive response they received from caring and compassionate New Yorkers, headed to midtown Manhattan to the home of Bank of America executive, Jeffrey Barker. They pressed against the plate glass windows, so that Barker's neighbors could easily see the graphic posters and large banner.

WAR activists chanted loudly….”500 animals died today, Jeffrey Barker is to blame”. This brought many neighbors down to the lobby and street to see what the ruckus was all about. The sidewalks were full of New Yorkers who had gathered to find out why we were protesting at this residential location. Many took flyers and thanked us for making the sacrifice of being there to speak for the animals, who suffer in silence, on a pretty Sunday afternoon.

The rest of the evening was spent calling on the homes of executives that work for companies that are customers and investors of Huntingdon Life Sciences. Before protests are scheduled, WAR always delivers comprehensive information packets including DVDs of “The Truth”, which documents the cruelty and abuses that have taken place. This ensures that all have the opportunity of learning what goes on in Huntingdon Life Sciences death camps.
