Friday, August 21, 2009 WAR Gets Jump Start on SHAC Top Customer Week of Action at Bristol-Myers Squibb NYC Headquarters In a bit of a change-up from the usual home demonstrations, this past Friday Win Animal Rights visited Huntingdon Life Sciences customer Bristol-Myers Squibb at their Park Avenue corporate headquarters in New York City. ![]() Despite calls from compassionate people everywhere, BMS still keeps Huntingdon Life Sciences in business. No matter; activists will continue to pressure the drug pushers until they drop the sinking ship. Protesters took advantage of busy Park Avenue to call out the company for disregarding the suffering and death of the animals trapped inside HLS. Numerous people, walking along the busy sidewalk, were horrified by the pictures of mutilated animals on the activists' placards. Demonstrators were repeatedly informed that the people would contact BMS to voice their disgust. It wasn't just pedestrians asking for fliers either, as employees from inside the large office building also requested literature about the campaign.
Interestingly enough, one of the people that asked for a flier (and wished the activists good luck!) was none other than Jeremy Levin, an executive from Bristol-Myers. Maybe Levin, a target of several home demonstrations, is finally starting to wise up? Have you spoken to your colleagues yet, Jeremy? Well you can stop the shaming of your company by finally dumping HLS. Before the afternoon was over, someone had taken advantage of the free newspaper racks placed conveniently across from the main entrance to Bristol-Myers Squibb's offices. The flyers had been placed in the front windows so that anyone that missed the protest could read about Bristol-Myers shameful relationship with the animal abusers at Huntingdon Life Sciences. ![]() Video Clips: |
