NYC Jumps into Global Week of Action Against Huntingdon Life Sciences Top Customers at Novartis Investors Office

WAR activists stage protest at the key financial office of Novartis. Although not a large office, President Robert Pelzer works out of this important office.

Last Friday’s protest at Bristol-Myers Squibb was so good that activists decided to visit the Investor Office of Novartis Drug Company. A dozen activists lined the street outside their door and raised their voices to shame the drug pushers that work for evil Novartis.

In answer to the countless letters and phone calls Novartis is receiving, they are replying that they have not worked with Huntingdon Life Sciences for many years. If this is true, why is it that Novartis refuses to answer the letters and calls of the SHAC campaign? Why is it that they will not make a public statement to that effect? What do you have to hide Novartis?

Many pedestrians stopped to stare at the pictures portraying the bloody mutilated remains of puppies and monkeys. Many were horrified at the pictures of bunnies with their heads tightly held in restraints waiting for the poisonous toxins that will burn and ulcerate their eyes until they scream in terror. The monsters at Huntingdon Life Sciences are the ones doing the killing, but Novartis is just as much to blame as they contract and pay for the killing. Without their support, Huntingdon Life Sciences would be out of business.

Loud angry voices were heard above the loud din of the rush hour traffic. “500 animals died today, Novartis is to blame”. Many of the protest chants singled out Robert Pelzer, President of Novartis in the USA…..”500 animals murdered in vain, Robert Pelzer is to blame” and “Punching beagles in the face, Robert Pelzer what a disgrace”. This last chant references the fact that employees of Huntingdon Life Sciences were caught on videotape repeatedly punching a terrified 4 month old beagle puppy in the face. What could possibly be more disgraceful than that?

Activists promised to return to this location often, because even though this is not Novartis’ primary facility, it is and important office and it is located on the extremely busy corner of Fifth Avenue and 49th Street, just around the corner from the popular tourist attraction, Rockefeller Center. In just two short hours, hundreds of flyers shaming Novartis were distributed and dozens of individual conversations about the partnership of Novartis and Huntingdon Life Sciences took place. Not to mention the fact that almost all posters had the Novartis logo prominently displayed for all to see.
