9 Park Avenue Puppy Killer Protests

Demo #1: James Shepherdson, Executive Vice President – AXA Financial

The first of many stops this afternoon was the home of James Shepherdson, EVP for AXA Financial, a company that owns over 84,000 shares of LSR stock. More than a dozen activists, many of them new to the campaign, gathered to hold graphics signs and distribute educational materials to James’ neighbors. A loud and spirited demo was held. The first of many until AXA sells their shares in the bloody business of animal killing.

Demo #2: Tamara Rennert, Wealth Management Investor – Wachovia

We never thought that the folks at Wachovia would be stupid enough to make the same mistake twice, but we were wrong. Wachovia which has been a target in the past has purchased over 92,000 shares of LSR stock. Activists proceeded to name and shame Tamara Rennert and to urge Wachovia to dump their LSR shares. We bet Wachovia can’t wait until WAR activists start protesting their posh retail locations during business hours!

Demo #3: Derryck Maughan, Director – GlaxoSmithKline

Next up was the luxury building of Derryck Maughan. The newly constructed scaffolding didn’t deter the dedicated activists. If anything it enhanced the loud reverberations of the chanting. GSK can file all of the lawsuits they want, activists have pledged to continue the campaign until the killing stops at HLS. As always Derryck’s neighbors were very supportive. Note to Derryck & GSK: the black Explorer parked on the corner didn’t concern activists one single bit. However, next time a vehicle with a dodgy driver and dark tinted (illegal in New York) glass, follows us from location to location, we will consider filing a stalking complaint. Consider yourself forewarned!

Demo #4: John Thain, CEO – New York Stock Exchange/Euronext

As CEO of the New York Stock Exchange, John Thain has primary responsibility for the boost that HLS received when it’s parent company, Life Sciences Research (LSR) was listed on the NYSE Arca exchange. John Thain has enabled the continued killing of 500 animals every day by HLS. Activists intend to educate every one of his neighbors to the blood on John Thain’s hands. Some of his next door neighbors stopped to chat with activists and told them that John was in the Hamptons for the weekend. They promised to let John know about the protest and to let him know how they felt about his complicity with animal abuse at Huntingdon Life Sciences.

Demo #5: James Robinson, Chairman – Bristol-Myers Squibb

As Chairman of the Board of Bristol-Myers Squibb, one of HLS’ premier customers, James Robinson has the ability to stop the contracts that lead to the killing of 500 innocent victims every day. Fueled by that knowledge, activists once again held a loud protest at Mr. Robinson’s home. “500 animal died today, James Robinson is to blame….500 animals suffered in vain, Bristol-Myers Squibb is to blame”.

Demo #6: Lloyd Blankfein, Chairman & CEO – Goldman Sachs

The first 5 protests took place without police presence; but, wagers were made that the NYPD would show up at the home of Wall Street big wig Lloyd Blankfein. Lloyd’s company, Goldman Sachs, owns over 7 million shares in the NYSE giving them an inordinate amount of influence. Of course, the NYPD did not disappoint us. A peaceful, lawful protest ensued. All activists are asking is that Goldman Sachs use their influence to kick the puppy killers off the NYSE.

Demo #7: Christopher “Kip” Condron, Head of North American Operations – AXA

Empowered by the suffering of the 180,000 animals that are imprisoned at HLS right now, activists kept on trucking even though the hour was late. Our next stop was the lovely residence of AXA chief honcho, Christopher “Kip” Condron. A quiet side street just a half block away from the Metropolitan Museum of Art made this a perfect place to give voice to our anger at the senseless killing financed by AXA. “Kip” is the Head of all North American Operations for AXA and sits on the corporation’s management committee in France. No doubt this will be one of our regular stops until the killing stops or AXA divests their blood money shares in HLS.

Demo #8: Gary Cohn, President & Chief Operations Officer – Goldman Sachs

Demo #9: Esta Stecher, Director – Goldman Sachs

Last stop of the evening was the fashionable hi-rise building of two Goldman Sachs high ranking associates. Gary Cohn who holds a management position as Chief Operations Officer and Esta Stecher who sits on GS’s Board of Directors. Both of them have significant influence and can use that influence to help stop the killing. WAR will continue to hold protests until LSR is dropped from the NYSE Arca.

Many thanks to the new folks that participated in the protests and a special thank you to the legal observer who volunteered her time to ensure that we were safe and had legal representation at the protests.
