Sunday, October 25, 2009 25 Activists Attend National Primate Week Protests Focusing on Huntingdon Life Sciences On Sunday Win Animal Rights paid visits to the individuals most responsible for the unimaginable suffering inflicted inside Huntingdon Life Sciences, the head honchos of Huntingdon Life Sciences and their financiers Fortress Investment Group. Demo #1: Wesley Edens, Co-Chairman & Principal - Fortress Investment Group The first demonstration of the day was held outside the home of Wesley Edens, Co-Chair of Fortress Investment Group. Because Fortress continues to finance HLS to keep the deplorable company in business, activists decided to expose the scoundrel once again. "It's your loan! Your fault! Your lies! Your fault!". Many curious individuals approached the demonstration to speak to protesters about the kinds of activities that Eden's company engages in. Tourists were especially receptive. In addition to some lovely pictures they'll show their friends back home the images of puppy killers. ![]() Demo #2: Andrew Baker - Chairman & CEO - Huntingdon Life Sciences Next up protesters ventured across the street to the home of Andrew Baker, resident scumbag of Central Park West and HLS CEO. The proximity of the apartments suggest that these animal abusers enjoy spending quality time with one another. As always, the neighborhood was supportive of the demonstration. People were disgusted that such brutality is perfectly legal. Activists received quite a few honks from drivers passing by in addition to the numerous pedestrians requesting information about the protest. People walking in the park actually climbed up the wall to see what all the hubbub was about. Many great kudos were received. Demo #3: Peter Briger, Co-Chairman & Principal - Fortress Investment Group Having already protested against Mr. Edens, activists marched downtown to the home of Peter Briger, tacking on financial support of animal abusers to his scandalous resume. "Over 180,000 animals are tortured each year because of your neighbor!" As protesters previously announced, they were not easily fooled by corrupt businessmen. In addition to the people on the activists' side of the street, protesters distributed flyers on the park side and were able to engage even more curious pedestrians. By this time, demonstrators had almost entirely run out of Fortress literature. Several hundred flyers were distributed throughout the day. ![]() At each protest, the public response was decidedly positive. As long as there are animals dying inside Huntingdon Life Sciences, activists will be out there to speak out for them. And considering that the monsters live so close to each other, it'll be even easier! P.S. There is always one exception to the rule. At each location, there is usually one person who distinguishes themselves and are then dubbed "Asshole of the Week" (see picture below). This lunatic, with the helter skelter eyes, did his level best to provoke his frightened companion animal to attack the protesters. His behavior bordered on the insane and constituted a clear case of animal cruelty. ![]() Video Clips: After the protests, a dozen activists gathered at Blossom Cafe for a vegan dinner and to celebrate the birthdays of two of the participants. Happy birthday, comrades! |
