OVER 100 DEAD CHINCHILLAS = ONE UGLY BASSO COAT
New York Most Notorious Furrier Win Animal Rights continues the campaign to stop the killing of animals who are murdered for their fur. Pandering to the rich and famous, this greedy bastard takes his bloody fashion to new heights of insanity....and for what?.....for vanity. Pictured above is one of the most adorable creatures in the animal kingdom....the chinchilla. It likely takes well over 100 of these tiny furballs to make a full length fur coat. Can you imagine that anyone could be cruel enough and cold enough to turn these little guys into a coat? The only one more heartless than the one who makes the coat is the vain and self absorbed human waste that buys such a coat. The aging rock star Madonna comes to mind.
Over the past years, activists have stared at the disgusting display of dead animal skins that Basso so proudly hangs on his racks and in his windows. Fur sofa throws, fur rugs, fur tablecloths, the entire place dripping with every kind of fur, leading us to wonder if he provides his clients with fur hand towels or fur toilet paper? Also noted is the crude sexism regularly displayed in Basso's expansive windows. Why is it that every mannequin is spreadeagled with fur dripping between its legs? Even devout fur-hags (male and female) find his windows offensive. ![]() Who is Dennis Basso? The man behind all of this is Dennis Basso. Dennis and his partner, Michael Cominotto, live at the exclusive Beresford on Central Park West across the street from the Museum of Natural History. Protesters regularly gather either at the main entrance of The Beresford or at Basso's private entrance just around the corner on 82nd Street. Basso has been caught at home on several occasions and he habitually leaves his ground floor windows open providing a perfect opportunity for giving voice to pent up outrage. ![]() Write to Dennis and his partner, Michael Cominotto, at their home: ![]() The campaign waged against Dennis Basso has become heated and contentious. Fueled by Basso employees who routinely taunt and ridicule protesters, police who regularly park patrol cars on the sidewalk in front of Basso's storefront in an effort to silence dissent and Basso customers, who find the pictures of the brutalized and mutilated animals amusing. What kind of people laugh and poke fun at animal abuse? Dennis Basso, his partner, his employees and his customers...that's who! One word describes them perfectly.... |
