World Lab Animal Liberation Week

World Week for Animals in Labs

New York City

April 19 - 27, 2008

Win Animal Rights, took a message of compassion toward animals and disgust for vivisectors, to those who enable the monsters at Huntingdon Life Sciences to continue to torture, mutilate, poison and ultimately kill 500 animals every single day. Protests and educational outreach were on-going daily throughout the period from Saturday, April 19, 2008 through Sunday, April 27, 2008.

All protests incorporated a strong emphasis on community outreach and education. The goal was to educate, as many consumers as possible, to the horrors of animal testing labs and the benefits of a compassionate and cruelty free lifestyle.

The focus of this year's World Lab Week demonstrations was on HLS Customers and Suppliers, with special attention to Novartis and Staples.

Activists traveled to multiple locations on each day and most demonstrations were at least an hour and a half to 2 hours in duration. Total number of protests completed was 13. This included one at the home of the Huntingdon Life Sciences CEO, Andrew Baker, six protests at the homes of Novartis executives and six protests at the most popular Staples Office Supply retail outlets in New York City.
